I know I’ve been a little quiet lately with regards to our blog. That primarily started when we moved almost two months ago. But fear not, we’re still alive and well and still steaming ahead toward our liveaboard life! Or should I say sailing ahead instead of steaming? Haha
We’ve really been enjoying our new, smaller place and have taken advantage of living in an environment that makes it very easy to stay physically active. Practically right outside our backdoor is a river that has concrete and gravel trails so we can walk, jog, go cycling, etc. Because of this convenience, we’ve been using it every single day!
Last month we went to Naples, Florida and visited Amy’s college suite-mate. We initially planned to fly, but ultimately decided it’d be much more of an adventure to make a road trip out of it.
We haven’t had a vacation with just the two of us in a long time, so it was a great way to spend a lot of one on one time with each other. We also experienced a LOT of time in a confined space with one another, too. It’s such a blessing to know that we can do that and not strangle one another…Very beneficial since we’ll soon be living in confined spaces on a sailboat!
Here’s a couple of highlights from our trip. We saw the world’s largest wooden rocking chair in Gulfport, Mississippi; the world’s largest free-standing cross in St. Augustine, Florida; Cocoa Beach, the Solar Walk in Gainesville, Florida and dolphins in Naples, Florida.
Here’s a short video I compiled so you can see some of our adventures:
